Rabbit
Scientific name - Oryctolagus cuniculus
Habitat -meadows, woods, forests, grasslands, deserts and wetlands.
The European rabbit lives in underground burrows, or rabbit holes.
Location - Throughout the Western Hemisphere and in Eastern Hemisphere rabbitss are in Europe, some parts of Central and Southern Africa, Sumatra, and Japan.
- Rabbits need hay to assist the digestive system and prevent fur balls in their stomach.
- When rabbits are happy, they will jump and twist, this is called a binky.
- Rabbits groom themselves. - The only place a rabbit sweats is through the pads on its feet.
- Domesticated rabbits eyes do not open until they are about 2 weeks old.
- Domesticated rabbits are born without fur. - Rabbits can purr similar to a cat.
