Changed the background to black, the contrast between the colored shirts is more affective. Also the white type is seen better when against the black background color. This was the poster I sent to the contest.

White Background - Final Poster Design
Poster contest idea - The divide between people who are for uniforms in public schools versus people who are not for the uniforms. This poster shows how in the end, all the students are just wearing shirts, and a shirt no matter the color or design has one purpose, for warmth and to cover the upper body.

Poster Idea. thumbs up & thumbs down
First poster idea using thumbs up and thumbs down. It was taking the negative and positives of having public school uniforms. This poster should bring both sides of the argument together to see each other's points of view. This poster shows too much positives about one side of the argument so I am changing my idea to address just the positives of both sides.

4th application
For my 4th application I was aiming for applications that would actually be seen in real life at a Humane Society. I put my logo, business name and information on a name plate outside of an animal cage. I also included all the details of the animal that is up for adoption, such as name, age, where she/her was found, gender, etc. I also placed my logo onto a green food bowl. The Humane Society could use the bowls for the animals while they live in the cages and also give the people who adopt the animal the bowl along with the 'thank you' keychain.

Business Cards, Letterhead, and Envelope
My company is Helping Hare and it's a Humane Society. It has a mix of sophisticated and playfulness.
I chose these colors because they were cheerful and bold. The green I used to reference to the fact that bunnies eat green grass. Bunnies generally are perceived as being cute, fluffy, little animals, but they also always look sad which I didn't realize until the project. So using the bunny as the logo for a Humane Society is suppose to get the viewers' attention on how this innocent little creature is desperate for adoption and a new home.
For the envelope I repeated the Bunny's ear to make a pattern for the inside of the envelope. For the front of the envelope, I kept it a simple white and placed the logo and address in the top left corner.
The front of the business card has the logo and business company name enlarged filling the whole card. The back of the business card has the second smaller logo, which was created by using the Bunny's ear, shrinking it and flipping it. Underneath the second logo is the company's information such as telephone number, address and employee's name.
The letter head I used for my final project is the one above to the left. I places the line at the top under the logo and business name to draw the viewer's vision across the whole top of the page. I didn't allow the line to continue off the right side, but instead lead the line off the right side at the bottom of the letterhead. I originally didn't have this line in the letterhead and business card. I added this line to help the viewer's eye travel from the top of the letterhead to the bottom, so they would read the business's information. I used this line on the business card so the viewer would be intrigued to turn the card over to see what is on the other side.

5 different sized logos
I originally had the idea to place my logo onto a tote bag and a round keychain. I discarded the idea of the bag but kept the keychain idea, and just changed the keychain shape to a rectangle. When a person adopts a pet from a Humane Society they might get a keychain as a form of gratitude or a 'thank you'.
I tried a few different ways of designing the envelope. Above is my attempt at making the whole envelope purple and that ended up being too bold and ineffective. The inside of the envelope is the 'bunny ear' repeated to make a pattern. In this design the pattern does not go off the edge, and in the critique I was informed that it would be more affective if the pattern goes of the paper. So I changed that for the final envelope. The front of the envelope worked well being all white and having the logo in the upper left corner. In the critique I was told it had a sophisticated playfulness that was a good balance between the two.
The third image was to see if the logo could be affective at different sizes.

Colored Bunny Logos
At first I struggled with finding a color scheme for my logo. I was trying to find a balance between nature and playful. So I started to use variations between greens, tans, browns, grays, dark purple and black. They all seemed natural but not playful enough. Some variations made the logo bold, which was good, while other variations the two colors were too brown that the boldness wasn't there anymore. I felt like the purple and green combination was striking to the eye. So I continued to experiment with more variations of those two colors.

Business Name - HelpingHare - Humane Society
Between HareCare and HelpingHare
They are catchy phrases. They have the word "Hare" in it which also means rabbit.
It's for a HumaneSociety so the helping and caring show the meaning of the organization in the name.
HareCare sounds like it would be for a pet shop or a hair salon. So I am picking HelpingHare.

Vital Tips for Effective Logo Design
- Logos are used to identify a company or a brand.
- A good logo is when the meaning and concept is noticeable and the message is clearly conveyed to the audience.
- People think that it is so easy to create a logo, yes they are tiny, but they take a lot of thought and planning out to become perfect and usable.
- When it comes to logos, the simple the better. It is more memorable to the public, you want the logo to be easily recognized.
- The cost of a logo depends on the business, how many logo concepts are created, and how much the designer wants to charge the buyer.
10 Common Mistakes In Logo Design
- An amateur logo will make a business look amateur as well. Also, when the business tries to reproduce the logo, it might not look so neat and sharp as they wanted it to look.
- Trends are bad too! Cause they come and go really fast, so then you will have to redo the logo soon too.
- Do not use raster graphics such as on Adobe photoshop because when trying to resize or zoom in on the logo, it will become all blurry and unclear.
- Design for the client and not yourself. It is what they want and works best for their business.
- Do not make the logo complicated and complex. The viewer will forget it and it will not leave a lasting impression if it is filled with too much details.
- Do not rely on color, the logo should be as powerful in black & white then when it is in color.
- Match the font to the logo, and find a balance between the two.
- No more then two fonts, too many fonts get to confusing and distracting.

Brainstorming Map
Tutoring Business - The busy bunny needs help with school work and that is why the bunny looks so upset. Audience would be students and parents. Logo would be used to get people's attention about how a student struggling with school can get really upset and how the tutoring can help turn that frown upside down.
Counseling Therapist - Pediatric Care - Most little children do not enjoy going to the doctors, so if I put a smile on the bunny the doctors might seem more welcoming. Also a counseling center or guidance group that helps with depression, anxiety etc. could use the sad bunny logo. To show that this center can help make you not feel like the sad bunny anymore. Audience is anyone who needs a therapist and any child who needs to go to the doctors.
Humane Society - The bunny looks all sad and frowning, so this could grab the soft, appathetic side of the audience. The audience can be anyone at all, it helps if they love animals haha. The logo would draw people in by the fact that the bunny is sad and needs a home. To promote that people should adopt animals and give them a home as their pets.
